Once an abandoned corner of Chicago's Grant Park, this 24.5 acre tract was made up of rail lines, surface parking, and other blight. Now it's home to gardens, ice skating, outdoor and indoor concerts, restaurants, festivals, fountains and water features as well as interactive art. Since opening in July, 2004, Millennium Park, which borders historic Michigan Avenue, has become one of the most popular destinations in Chicago and the country.

Waterfront Park is an 85 acre development in Louisville on the Ohio River. Development of the park required moving a highway and railroad car crushing facility. It also required reconfiguration of the street grid to reconnect the waterfront with its downtown. The Park, developed in three phases, includes a Children's Play Area, Adventure Playground, walking trails, cafes, an amphitheater and rowing facilities.

The National Constitution Center is located on historic Independence Mall in Philadelphia, two blocks from Independence Hall and the Liberty Bell. Built in Partnership with the National Park Service, the Constitution Center offers what it calls "America's most interactive history museum." Additionally, it offers many other educational programs for kids as well as seasonal festivals and summer camps. The addition of the Constitution Center has brought renewed interest and vitality to one of the country's most historic sites.
